School Uniform Expectations

We take great pride in the wearing of our Bowen Road Primary School uniform. Our uniform helps students feel part of a team and supports the safety of our community by making it easy to identify students on excursions and to recognise anyone who should not be on school grounds.

We ask all families to support the school by ensuring their children consistently wear the correct uniform. Second‑hand uniform items are available, and support with uniform costs can be discussed confidentially with our School Business Manager (SBM).

Uniform can be purchased at the school office.

Sun Safety

All students must wear a school hat when playing and working outside. The hat needs to be a ‘sun safe’ hat with a broad brim, available from the office for $10.00.

Attendance

While we understand children can become unwell or overtired at times, on all other days it is incredibly important that they attend school every day and arrive on time.

  • Our literacy and maths routines are carefully sequenced across the week. When children regularly miss a day each week or fortnight, or arrive late, they can quickly fall behind and become out of sync with the rest of the class. This impacts their confidence, learning progress, and sense of belonging.
  • We need the support of all families to ensure children attend school as much as possible. Strong attendance sets students up for success—academically, socially and emotionally.

Breakfast Club – is available for all students from 8.30 – 9.00 am every day in the Gym.

Outside School Hours Care (OSHC)

To assist working parents, a before school care program runs from 8am in the Admin building at a cost of $2.50 per day. Please enquire at the school office.

Lady Gowrie Childcare Centre provides on-site Outside School Hours Care (OSHC) from 3.00pm until 6.00pm each day in D Block. Families make their own bookings by contacting Lady Gowrie Childcare Centre directly on 6230 6864.
